Where?
The workshop will take place at the Steigenberger Frankfurt Airport Hotel during the Advanced Vascular Conference (AVC) Rhein Main.

When?
The event has been scheduled for May 27th, 2024 at 14:00.

Particiption criteria:
The workshop is designed for a maximum of 12 teams of 2 individuals. To confirm their current status, candidates had to send a motivation letter to the faculty. The workshop is intended for colleagues who possess advanced experience in performing procedures related to peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
Only vascular surgeons were eligible to participate, as the workshop includes open surgical stations. The 24 colleagues who were selected will receive a free registration for the entire duration of AVC.

Objectives:
This workshop will be conducted in the form of a game to evaluate participants’ skills and knowledge in managing PAD. A prize will be awarded to the winning team.

There will be three stations available for participants:
• Station 1: Theoretical knowledge
• Station 2: Endovascular procedures
• Station 3: Open surgical procedures

Evaluation:
The evaluation will be conducted by six judges using a scoring sheet from UEMS and a custom-made one.

Prize:
The winners of the competition will be awarded the prestigious certificate of “Top Gun in Vascular Surgery”. The corresponding award ceremony will take place during the boat tour under the beautiful Frankfurt skyline on May 29th, 2024.
Each winner will be granted a free ticket for this Networking event.
Furthermore, the prize includes also a four-week fellowship in two vascular units in Germany, headed by Prof. K. Donas and Prof. G. Korosoglou, respectively.
